So you want to treat yourself this Easter?

Stay away from GMO containing sugary candies but please do not hesitate to indulge in a couple of squares of delicious dark chocolate. Rich in the minerals iron, magnesium, copper, manganese, zinc and selenium, good quality dark chocolate is also high in antioxidants that scour free radicals. 

Studies on dark chocolate have suggested that regular intake can improve blood flow, reducing blood pressure and can relieve anxiety, giving us those feel good emotions by raising serotonin levels in the brain.

My tip is to think smart and turn to dark chocolate whenever an overwhelming urge for salty snacks kicks in. Your body will receive a nurturing dose of minerals which should combat the craving for salt and your mood will be elevated as serotonin rises and you celebrate kicking those fatty carbs to the kerb!
