Well this was a very wonderful thing!
Alongside my good friend and fellow Nutritionist Lily Louie, we finished up our 6 week fall edition of “Eat Like A Nutritionist’.
“I really enjoyed myself and think the sessions were great”
With an intimate group of women we spent 6 weeks working our way through the food groups, busting food myths, demonstrating how to cook up delicious recipes (43 great family recipes in all!) and teaching tips and time saving tricks to introduce family healthy eating on a daily basis.
“I especially loved the interaction between the two of you and the passion and excitement you spoke with”
‘Eat Like A Nutritionist’ is a full on food fest of a course that allows our participants to fully embrace the flavours of a whole foods diet and find out for themselves just how delicious real foods can be.
“Demonstrations made me feel I could actually do it”
Our students left each week eager to try the recipes at home and confident that despite busy lives, tight schedules, kids activities and picky eaters they could introduce the whole foods recipes taught that week into their weekly rotation. A weekly shopping list of ingredients for the recipes demonstrated and tasted that week made shopping a breeze.
“I….loved the variety of recipes and flavours”
We also planned each session as a respite for the women we served, starting each session with tea and a healthy treat. When you are in the trenches of family life and it is your responsibility to feed the family day in and day out you need all the TLC you can get your hands on! We were determined that our participants would feel pampered and nurtured along with the education!
“I loved tasting the food because just looking at the recipe…I may not make it”
So much fun meeting these wonderful women. Teaching the practice of integrating healthy eating into a busy lifestyle is something I have a passion for and could get up and do everyday. I love sharing my knowledge.
“Yes please, let me know if you run another session. I have two friends who have expressed an interest”
Lily and I had a ball! and have big plans for ‘Eat Like A Nutritionist’ in 2016. We will be offering 2 stand alone workshops, starting with ‘Super Immunity for a Calgary Winter’ in January, and in celebration of Valentines Day, ‘Food for Lovers in February.
In April another 6 week session of ‘Eat Like A Nutritionist’ will begin with all new recipes and the flavours of Spring.
I am also looking to squeeze in a session of my one day workshop ‘Deep Nutrition for Depleted Women’ in February to help women build their energy levels back up in the dark days of winter.
“Loved every moment – sorry it is over!”
Friends in Calgary, sign up for my newsletter, find me on Facebook at Louise Innes Holistic Nutritionist and look for me on Instagram at @louinnesholisticnutrition so that you do not miss the opportunity to sign up for the workshop that calls to you.
I cannot wait to meet you!
