Hormone Helper Smoothie

Many of the female clients I help come to see me with tiredness, anxiety, digestive issues and pre-menstrual or menopausal symptoms.

On closer questioning a pattern appears. It goes something like this……I am female and  over 40, I find that I just can’t digest gluten anymore without bloating and gas and my doctor has suggested I take an anti-depressant and/or medication for my under-active thyroid because I just feel so tired and anxious all the time.

These seemingly unrelated symptoms have a link that starts often with Leaky Gut Syndrome and healing the digestive tract is a priority. Inflammation in the gut can quickly result in the poor digestion of important minerals such as iron, zinc, selenium and copper, vital for the health of your brain and thyroid gland, regardless of the uncomfortable bloating and gas.

I work with women to resolve Leaky Gut issues and to boost the nutrition in their daily diet so that they can return to vibrant health. These ladies want to get back to the energy levels they enjoy and actually demand of themselves, as they have very busy, ‘spread yourself real thin’, work hard / play hard lives that often include caring for others.

This smoothie provides valuable nutrition to support the liver, as it de-congugates and clears hormones from the body bringing balance back to our hormonal health. It is also anti-inflammatory and packed with anti-oxidant vitamin C to calm an inflamed digestive tract and fuel tried adrenal glands that may be compensating for an under-active thyroid. The addition of healthy fats in the form of avocado and coconut oil, satiate appetite, help to control blood sugar levels, again support adrenal health and provide food for an anxious brain and nervous system.

I love the colour too!
