A Simple Blueberry and Hemp Seed Smoothie

I had a stressed out teen with a shed load of studying to do this week and I wanted to fuel her precious brain and soothe her jangled nerves with a simple smoothie that I normally save to refuel post workout.

Blueberries are powerful anti-oxidants and will scour stressy free radicals from the body. Hemp seeds provide the brain with anti-inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids to fuel superb study habits. (Okay, I am not making that promise for every teen!!!!!)

Creamy, fruity and delicious, this smoothie passed the ever picky teen taste test too!

Keep the ingredients in your fridge and freezer and whip up this gem of a smoothie whenever you or your family are flagging. Simple dense nutrition at it’s best!
